Friends In Harmony, under the direction of Robert Compton, is an a cappella chorus specializing in the traditional barbershop harmony style. Our vision is to unite men from surrounding communities through fun, fellowship, and, singing. Friends In Harmony aims to engage singers from all generations, from youth to retirees, from companies, schools, and the communities we serve. Friends In Harmony performs in San Antonio and nearby areas.

We organize an Annual Barbershop Trip for those who wish to travel and sing. Past trips have included destinations such as Italy, being the first Barbershop Harmony chorus invited to perform at a Mass in the Vatican. A trip to Normandy, France in 2024 was for the chorus to perform at a wreath-laying ceremony at the American Cemetary to commemorate the US troops landing on Omaha Beach during WWII. In 2026, the chorus will embark on a 7-day cruise, performing aboard the ship throughout the week.

We are always seeking new singers! There are no auditions to join us, simply fun, fellowship, and singing every Monday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the second floor in the music rehearsal room of University Methodist Church located at 5084 De Zavala Rd., San Antonio, Texas.
